Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Estimator with 4+ years of experience in the glass and glazing industry to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for preparing accurate bid proposals, reviewing drawings/specifications, coordinating with vendors, and supporting project teams from preconstruction through award.The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of commercial glazing systems, curtainwall, storefront, and architectural glass products, along with the ability to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesReview architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documentsPrepare detailed takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial glass and glazing projectsSolicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricingDevelop competitive bid proposals and scope lettersCoordinate with Project Managers, vendors, and clients throughout the estimating processIdentify potential project risks and value engineering opportunitiesMaintain estimating databases and project recordsAttend pre-bid meetings as neededQualifications4+ years of estimating experience in the glass and glazing industryStrong understanding of storefront, curtainwall, entrances, mirrors, railings, and glazing systemsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsExperience with estimating software and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong communication, organizational, and time management skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience estimating large commercial projectsFamiliarity with Bluebeam, OST, or similar takeoff softwareKnowledge of fabrication and installation processesCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary based on experienceBonus opportunitiesHealth, dental, and vision insurancePTO and paid holidays401(k) with company matchLong-term growth opportunities within a stable organization
