Resident Services Coordinator (SRO & Families) - San Francisco, CALHH is teaming up with a mission-driven nonprofit organization in the affordable housing and community services space in San Francisco, CA, in search of Resident Services Coordinators to support residents in single-room occupancy (SRO) housing and family housing communitiesThis organization is deeply invested in housing stability, resident well-being, and access to critical resources. These roles play a meaningful part in supporting residents as they maintain housing, build independence, and strengthen community connections. You'll partner closely with property management and community agencies while working directly with residents in a highly people-focused environment.Who the Ideal Candidate IsThe ideal candidate is compassionate, resourceful, and comfortable working with diverse populations. You bring experience in case management or community services and are confident navigating sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion. You are organized, adaptable, and motivated by work that has a direct, positive impact on people's lives.Role 1: Resident Services Coordinator - Single Room Occupancy (SRO)Key ResponsibilitiesProvide case management and care coordination to adult residents in SRO housingSupport housing retention through outreach, assessments, goal-setting, and service planningCoordinate referrals to health, behavioral health, benefits, employment, and social servicesPartner with property management on housing stability issues, lease compliance, and conflict resolutionConduct intakes, annual assessments, and ongoing documentation in required systemsFacilitate wellness checks, crisis intervention, and de-escalation when neededPlan and support onsite programs, workshops, and community-building activitiesMaintain accurate case files, reports, and grant-related documentationRole 2: Resident Services Coordinator - FamiliesKey ResponsibilitiesDeliver resident services and case management to families living in affordable housingAssess resident needs and develop individualized service plans focused on housing stabilityConnect families to childcare, education, employment, health, legal, and financial resourcesSupport residents with annual recertifications, documentation, and compliance requirementsCoordinate onsite programs, family-focused workshops, and community eventsProvide crisis intervention, mandated reporting, and follow-up support as requiredCollaborate with community partners, service providers, and internal teamsComplete required reporting, resident files, calendars, and program documentationQualifications (Required)Bachelor's degree in a related field or at least 3 years of equivalent experience in community services or social servicesExperience working with low-income or formerly unhoused populationsStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgmentExperience with case management, service coordination, or resident engagementProficiency with Microsoft Office and basic case management systemsAbility to work on-site in San Francisco, CABilingual skills strongly preferred (especially Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, or Russian)Job Type: Contract-to-HireStart Date: ASAPLocation: Fully on-site, San Francisco, CAHours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - FridayPay Rate: $29.00-$32.00/hour, depending on experienceBenefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
