HR Director | Onsite in Dallas, TXOur client, a well-established, growth-oriented commercial and industrial lighting manufacturers' distribution business with a long operating history, multiple locations, and a collaborative ownership structure is seeking a Director of Human Resources. You'll own the HR function for a growing operational company, balancing day-to-day execution with the kind of practical leadership that helps people, managers, and the business run better.This is an onsite role in Dallas, and it's best suited for someone who is comfortable partnering closely with leadership, building structure, and serving as the go-to HR resource.Responsibilities:Lead core HR operations as the primary internal HR contactOversee payroll administration and related HR systemsSupport benefits administration, including insurance and 401(k) coordinationBuild and improve HR policies and procedures that fit the company's cultureSupport employee relations issues with sound judgment and professionalismPartner with managers on performance management and people leadershipImprove onboarding, training, and new-hire experienceHelp strengthen management capability through practical HR guidanceEnsure day-to-day HR practices align with compliance expectationsServe as a trusted business partner to ownership and leadershipRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related fieldSeveral years of successive HR experience in a hands-on, generalist, or HR leadership roleSHRM/PHR certification preferredStrong judgment and the ability to handle sensitive situations professionallyExperience supporting payroll, benefits, employee relations, compliance, onboarding, and trainingA steady, approachable style that builds trust at all levelsComfort working in a collaborative, ownership-involved environmentStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage both strategic and tactical workExperience in manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or similar operational businesses is a plusA track record of stability, consistency, and strong culture fitWhy This Role Could Be a Great FitYou'll own an important function in a stable, growing businessThe role is highly visible and has direct impact on employees and leadersYou'll work closely with ownership and management, not buried in bureaucracyThere's room to improve processes, strengthen managers, and elevate the employee experienceThe business values practical problem-solvers who bring maturity, judgment, and follow-through
