Senior Linux Cloud Engineer - Plano, TX (Onsite/Hybrid)Location: Plano, TX (Onsite)Experience Required: 10-12+ YearsIndustry: Telecom / Cloud InfrastructureContract role: 6 months + Only W2, No C2C candidatesWe are currently looking for a senior-level Cloud Systems Engineer to support a Linux-based private cloud infrastructure environment for a leading telecom organization. This is a hands-on infrastructure and automation role focused on Linux administration, cloud operations, scripting, monitoring, security, and infrastructure reliabilityLooking for someone who is highly hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working in fast-paced production environments. The ideal candidate should have strong Linux troubleshooting skills, cloud infrastructure experience, and a solid background in automation and scripting.Key Responsibilities:Install, configure, support, and maintain Linux-based servers and systemsManage private cloud infrastructure including compute, storage, networking, and virtualization componentsMonitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations for stability and reliabilityDevelop and maintain automation scripts for deployment, system updates, configuration management, and operational tasksCreate monitoring and alerting scripts to proactively identify infrastructure issuesPerform system patching, upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery activitiesManage user accounts, permissions, and access controlsSupport infrastructure security and ensure compliance with organizational policiesCollaborate with infrastructure, development, and operations teams on cloud and automation initiativesDocument system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting stepsRequired Skills:Strong experience with Linux administration (Red Hat / Ubuntu preferred)Experience working with Kubernetes and/or OpenStack environmentsStrong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or PerlExperience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or ChefStrong troubleshooting skills in Linux and cloud infrastructure environmentsKnowledge of networking protocols, virtualization technologies, and storage systemsExperience with monitoring, deployment automation, and infrastructure supportFamiliarity with backup and disaster recovery solutionsPreferred Skills:Telecom IT systems experienceExperience supporting large-scale enterprise or private cloud environmentsStrong communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsWhat you didn't know about us:Competitive salaryHealth, Dental and Vision BenefitsLong-Term growth potential401kWith this position, you will get the opportunity to work with a game changing client and further advance your already valuable experience in the telecom industry!We are Connectors.
