Accounting Manager

ABOUT THE ROLEWe are a growing international distribution company headquartered in Suwanee, GA, and we're looking for an Accounting Manager to lead a core part of our finance operation through an exciting period of growth "” including an upcoming ERP system implementation. Employee tenure here is exceptionally high, and we invest in people for the long term.This is a hybrid role (3 days in office) reporting into the senior finance leadership team. You will manage a team of 3 AP Coordinators while also owning general accounting responsibilities across month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This is not a transactional position "” we need a process-oriented leader who can run a clean close, drive invoice resolution, build scalable workflows, and develop their team's decision-making capabilities.WHAT YOU'LL DOTeam LeadershipLead, mentor, and develop 3 AP CoordinatorsTrain the team to make business decisions on invoice discrepancies "” e.g., determining whether a difference should be written off, researched, or re-invoiced by the supplierSet performance expectations, conduct regular one-on-ones, and build a strong bench of decision-makersGeneral Accounting & Month-End CloseOwn assigned areas of the month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliationsSupport intercompany accounting and consolidations across the international entity structurePartner with the controller on variance analysis, management reporting, and ad-hoc financial analysisSupport external audit requests and ensure documentation and controls are audit-readyAccounts Payable & Invoice ManagementOwn the daily and monthly reconciliation process for accrued invoices (inventory AP)Drive invoice resolution with operations teams and suppliersOversee AP workflows, payment runs, and vendor account managementIdentify and implement process improvements across the AP functionERP ImplementationPlay a key role in an upcoming ERP system implementation "” contributing accounting and AP expertise, testing, and cross-functional coordinationHelp design future-state workflows that improve close efficiency and AP throughputCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with operations, procurement, and supply chain on invoice and inventory workflowsCollaborate with the broader accounting and finance team on month-end close, accruals, and financial reportingWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORRequired8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including AP management and general accountingStrong general accounting knowledge: journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end closeExperience managing and developing staffBachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceStrong process improvement mindset "” you build systems, not just process transactionsComfortable working across operations, procurement, and supplier relationshipsPreferredCPA or CPA candidateInventory or distribution accounting experienceExperience in an international distribution environment, including intercompany and multi-currency accountingPrior ERP implementation experience (NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)COMPENSATION & BENEFITSCompetitive base salaryProfit sharing plan401(k) with non-elective employer match15 days PTOComprehensive health, dental, and visionHybrid schedule "” 3 days in office, 2 days remoteWHY THIS OPPORTUNITYThis is a high-impact leadership role at a company that values its people "” just look at the tenure.
