Group Lead - Electrical SystemsLocation: Seattle, WA (98108)Type: Full-TimeSalary Range: $146,000 - $174,000/yrOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Group Lead - Electrical Systems to manage and develop a team of engineers supporting aircraft design, systems integration, and certification efforts. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and hands-on engineering expertise in aerospace electrical systems and EWIS.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team ManagementLead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers to meet project goals and performance metricsAssign work, oversee productivity, and ensure high-quality deliverablesDrive hiring, performance management, and team developmentMaintain a collaborative, accountable, and safety-focused work environmentProject & Operations OversightPlan and manage short- and long-term workloads and team capacityTrack project progress and communicate updates to stakeholdersSupport coordination of contractor resources and overall team executionTechnical LeadershipServe as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in electrical systems and EWISProvide guidance on system design, analysis, and certification activitiesContribute to engineering work as neededCollaboration & CommunicationAct as a key point of contact across internal teams, customers, and leadershipLead team meetings and participate in organizational planningEnsure alignment with company standards, safety, and regulatory requirementsRequired QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Engineering or related fieldExperience10+ years of aerospace engineering experience3+ years of leadership experience managing engineersTechnical ExpertiseStrong knowledge of aerospace electrical systems and EWIS, including:Power systems architecture (ATA 24), system sizing, and performance analysisEnergy storage and power distributionEMI/EMC, HIRF, and system separationElectrical Load Analysis (ELA)Engineering design tools (2D/3D, MBSE, simulation)Additional DetailsTravel (domestic and international)Standard physical requirements for office/engineering environments
