Mechanical Engineer - Baltimore, MD | HybridWe are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team focused on the design and development of commercial and institutional mechanical systems. This position will support HVAC system design, facility evaluations, renovations, and new construction projects while contributing to high-quality, efficient engineering solutions for complex facilities.The ideal candidate will have 5-10+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering and HVAC design experience, strong Revit/BIM expertise, and a solid understanding of calculations, layouts, specifications, and applicable building codes.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial and institutional projectsPrepare calculations, specifications, layouts, and construction documentationSupport facility assessments, feasibility studies, and cost estimating effortsParticipate in construction administration activities, including site visitsEnsure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulationsCollaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and project stakeholdersMaintain accurate project documentation and schedulesMentor and support junior engineering staff as neededQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program5-10+ years of mechanical engineering and HVAC design experienceFE or PE license preferredExperience working on commercial, institutional, healthcare, or educational facilities preferredStrong communication and project coordination skillsAbility to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environmentTechnical SkillsAdvanced knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical design principlesStrong understanding of codes and standards including ASHRAE, IMC, IBC, and SMACNAEnergy modeling experience preferredExperience with facility evaluations and system upgradesSoftware ExperienceAutodesk Revit (BIM)BluebeamMicrosoft Office SuiteTRANE TRACEHAPCompensation & BenefitsSalary range: $80,000-$120,000 depending on experienceHybrid work modelEmployer-paid health insurance with HRA401(k) with employer matchDental, vision, and pet insurancePaid holidays and PTOShort-term and long-term disability coverageProfessional license and dues reimbursementWellness programs, telemedicine, and EAP services
