Accuracy, timeliness, and reliability are essential to maintaining performance across the organization.Who We Are Looking ForWe are seeking a disciplined, detail-oriented Accountant who can take ownership of day-to-day accounting operations and execute with consistency and accuracy.This individual will be responsible for managing multiple accounting functions simultaneously while ensuring financial data is clean, reconciled, and reliable. The ideal candidate operates independently, communicates clearly, and follows through without requiring constant oversight.This role is best suited for someone who values structure, accountability, and precision, and who takes pride in maintaining strong financial systems and processes.About the PositionThe Accountant serves as a key operational partner to the Managing Director of Finance and is responsible for executing and maintaining the organization's day-to-day accounting functions.This role ensures that financial data, reporting, billing, and reconciliations are handled accurately, consistently, and on time. The Accountant owns the integrity of financial records and supports the organization through reliable and timely financial information.Success in this role is measured by accuracy, consistency, responsiveness, and the ability to maintain clean and dependable financial operations across all accounting functions.Roles & ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post monthly journal entries and financial reportsReconcile all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basisMaintain and track fixed assets, including depreciation schedulesMonitor daily cash balances and support cash forecasting activitiesPrepare and support annual budgeting processesManage accounts receivable, including cash receipts and collectionsSupport accounts payable functions as neededAssist with payroll preparation and payroll tax processingPrepare month-end billing for multiple contractsMaintain contract modifications and financial trackingPrepare weekly and monthly financial reports for leadershipManage company credit cards and related reconciliationsMaintain accurate records of bank deposits and cash activitySupport tax filings, including local, state, and business taxes as requiredMaintain petty cash and perform periodic reconciliationsAssist with ad hoc financial tasks and reporting as assignedQualifications3-5+ years of accounting experience in a similar roleExperience managing general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reportingStrong understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing processesExperience supporting payroll and cash management functionsAbility to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detailHigh level of accuracy and organizational disciplineStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsClear and professional communication skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookExperience with Costpoint/Deltek preferred but not required
