We've partnered with WYLD - the #1 cannabis edible brand in the country - for licensing, sales, and distribution. We currently operate in California and Arizona, and just launched New York, with plans to expand nationally. We're a small, collaborative team in high-growth mode, and we're looking for driven self-starters who are excited by the opportunity to grow with us.Role OverviewBirdies is growing fast: adding new retail accounts, rolling out new SKUs, and expanding into new states. As the business scales, so does the complexity of production operations. We're hiring an Operations Manager to own day-to-day production coordination across our active markets. This is a hands-on role focused on project managing production end-to-end: sourcing and evaluating materials, building product formulations, coordinating manufacturing runs, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders. You'll also be expected to proactively improve production processes, drive operational efficiencies, and help build scalable systems as we expand into new states. You'll be working directly with vendors and manufacturing partners daily, so strong communication skills and a sense of urgency are essential.ResponsibilitiesSourcing & MaterialsSource biomass and production materials; evaluate quality, pricing, and vendor reliabilityBuild and maintain the vendor list, includingfinding new suppliers andmanagingexisting relationshipsCoordinate compliance testing of materials as needed, including establishing relationships with and evaluating new testing partners in each stateEnsure sufficient biomass and materials are on hand for upcoming production runsTrack purchasing and payment status across vendorsProduct FormulationCreate unique product blends that meet Birdies' specifications and quality standardsCalculate weights, ratios, and formulation details for production batchesCoordinate formulation adjustments with manufacturing partnersProduction CoordinationManage production scheduling, timelines, and run planning across active marketsCommunicate daily with our partners on production status, issues, and deadlinesTrack inventory supply levels and flag reorder needs before stockoutsCoordinate packaging materials procurement and delivery to manufacturing sitesProduction Reporting & Process ImprovementReview and track production output, yield, and scrap against targetsMaintain visibility into packaging materials inventory and SKU-level forecastsProvide regular production status updates to leadershipIdentify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve operations as we scaleWho You AreYou're organized, operationally sharp, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams across partners and markets without dropping balls. You've managed production schedules and vendor relationships before, ideally in cannabis or CPG. You move fast, communicate clearly, and care about details because you understand that a missed reorder or a failed compliance test has real downstream consequences. You thrive in lean, fast-moving environments where you're building systems, not just maintaining them.Required3-7years of experience in operations, production management, or supply chainDirect experience managing manufacturing partner or vendor relationshipsStrong communication skills and sense of urgency, you'll be the primary point of contact for vendors and manufacturing partnersStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple production timelines across marketsComfortable working in ambiguity and building processes from scratchHigh attention to detail and low tolerance for sloppy workSelf-starter who can work independently with minimal oversightUS-based with availability during business hoursStrongly PreferredCannabis industry experience, ideallyyou've worked at a brand, manufacturer, or MSO and understand production workflows, compliance testing, METRC, and sourcingFamiliarity with multi-state cannabis operations and the differences between marketsExperience in an entrepreneurial or early-stage environmentExperience and openness to working with AI toolsNear the Greater Los Angeles area (not required)
