Outside Sales Representative - HVAC Distribution (Commercial Territory)ATEX DistributingLocation: Houston, TX (Remote, Travel-Based)Territory: TX, LA, OK, ARTravel: 75-85%Position OverviewATEX Distributing is seeking a seasoned Outside Sales Representative with a strong background in HVAC distribution to drive growth across a multi-state commercial territory.This role is focused on developing and expanding relationships with mechanical contractors, OEM partners, and commercial accounts. The ideal candidate is a proven producer with an established network, strong product knowledge, and the ability to generate new business while managing key accounts.This is a high-travel, high-impact role for someone who thrives in the field and understands how to win in a competitive HVAC distribution environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and grow relationships with mechanical contractors and commercial accountsIdentify and close new business opportunities across assigned territoryActively prospect and build pipeline (cold calls, jobsite visits, referrals)Manage pricing, quoting, and project opportunitiesMaintain strong coordination with inside sales and operations teamsRepresent ATEX in the field with professionalism and urgencyTrack pipeline and sales activity in CRM (NetSuite)Qualifications5+ years of HVAC distribution outside sales experience (required)Proven track record of managing a territory and growing revenueEstablished relationships with mechanical contractors/users and commercial customersStrong understanding of HVAC equipment (RTUs, splits, IAQ, etc.)Self-starter with a hunter mentalityComfortable working independently in a high-travel role (75%+)CRM experience preferred (NetSuite a plus)Valid driver's licenseCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary + performance bonus opportunities401(k) with company contributionCompany paid health insuranceOptional dental and visionLife insuranceCar allowance / mileage reimbursementCompany credit card (travel, meals, client visits)Laptop, phone, and full operational supportStrong upside for high-performing sales professionalsWhy This RoleHigh visibility, growth-focused territoryBacked by experienced operations and inside sales supportOpportunity to build and own a multi-state book of businessIdeal for a proven HVAC distributor rep ready for a bigger territory
