This leadership role will oversee accounting and financial operations for a fast-paced organization with complex operational and payroll needs.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a hands-on role involving financial reporting, budgeting, payroll oversight, HR-related functions, and operational leadership.About the RoleOversee daily accounting and financial operationsPartner closely with executive leadership on financial strategy and operationsLead accounting functions within a collaborative, lean team environmentManage payroll, HR-related responsibilities, compliance, and reporting activitiesResponsibilitiesPrepare and oversee monthly financial statements, management reports, accruals, journal entries, and general ledger activityManage organizational budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial planning processesOversee complex payroll operations, including union payroll administration, shift differentials, and multiple pay structuresWork closely with union representatives regarding contracts, grievances, negotiations, and employee-related mattersCoordinate annual audits and prepare supporting documentation for external auditorsPrepare tax filings and regulatory reporting for various governmental agenciesOversee banking relationships, insurance programs, liability coverage, and financial compliance activitiesSupport HR-related functions including employee benefits administration and policy oversightCollaborate with leadership regarding operational planning, forecasting, and financial strategyManage accounting operations within a lean, collaborative accounting departmentAssist with ongoing system and process improvements, including accounting and payroll platform transitionsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field requiredMinimum 5 years of accounting leadership experience in a Controller or similar roleRequired SkillsStrong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, and general accounting operationsUnion payroll and labor relations experience requiredProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly ExcelExperience with accounting software such as Great Plains and payroll platforms such as Paychex or ADP preferredStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlinesStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and leadership teamsPay Range & BenefitsBase salary between $100,000 - $110,000 annually (DOE)Bonus potential availableHealth insurance and additional benefits packageKey Resource Group, LLC considers applicants for all positions without regard to gender, race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, sexual orientation, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, citizenship, veteran status, gender expression and/or identity, or any other class protected by federal, state, or local laws.
