Controller - Construction - Boston A Boston-based commercial construction firm is seeking a Controller to support a high-growth market. This is a highly visible leadership role overseeing month-end close, financial reporting, forecasting, internal controls, and project financial operations for a large regional business unit. The position will manage a team of 4-6 accounting professionals and partner closely with operational leadership across the business.ResponsibilitiesOversee financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and month-end closeEnsure strong internal controls, compliance, and balance sheet integrityManage project forecasting, billing, AR performance, and capital expendituresSupport operational leadership with financial analysis and risk identificationLead administrative and office operations for the regionCoach and develop team members while fostering a collaborative cultureQualifications8-10+ years of accounting experience, construction industry experience requiredOpen to public accounting candidates with strong construction clientsProven leadership abilities Ability to thrive in a collaborative, blue-collar, team-oriented cultureThe ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who understands the local construction market.
