The way we share ideas, learning, experiences, successes, and joy allows everyone to be their best at Ascendion.Title: Construction Project ManagerLocation: Region-specific (Northern Virginia)Role OverviewConstruction Project Manager supports leased datacenter projects by assisting the LCM in managing schedules, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with our standards. This role is ideal for individuals seeking career progression to full LCM responsibilities, focusing on project execution and operational readiness.ResponsibilitiesPM in tracking project milestones, RFS dates, and early access requirements.Visit project job sites on a weekly basis to assess the project progress and compare that to the project schedule.Maintain project documentation and update dashboards for progress reporting.Monitor task completion and potential risks or delays.Support sequencing for RNI early access activities.Coordinate with internal teams (ITIM, Security) and external lease providers under LCM guidance.Prepare meeting notes, action trackers, and follow-up communications.Ensure contractors adhere to our safety standards and reporting requirements.Assist compliance audits and documentation reviewsMonitor budgets and validate invoices against approved scopes.Track lease partner deliverables and escalate discrepancies.Learn and apply tools (Power BI) for reporting and automation.Contribute to improving workflows and reducing risk.Required Qualifications8-12 years' experience in construction project management.Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems and structured cabling basics.Strong organizational and communication skills in multi-stakeholder environments.Proficiency in Office and willingness to learn Power BI and automation tools.Education in engineering and construction is preferred.Preferred AttributesDetail-oriented and proactive approach to problem-solving.Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.Interest in career progression to full LCM responsibilities.Collaboration and teamwork focus must be top priority to mirror One Team.Years of experience required: 8-12 years' experience in construction project management.Degrees or certifications required: Degree in Engineering and/or Construction Management.Disqualifiers: Frequent job changes - not finishing projects or contracts.Best vs. average:Looking for a candidate who has spent at least 1.5 years or more at their current and previous positions for the most part.Work experience and/or a degree in Engineering and/or Construction Management.With experience in commercial construction.
