Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and motivated GIS Administrator to support the maintenance, administration, and ongoing development of our enterprise GIS environment for pipeline compliance and integrity management projects. This role will be responsible for administering GIS infrastructure, supporting spatial databases and applications, maintaining data integrity, and collaborating with integrity, compliance, and operations teams to deliver reliable geospatial solutions.The ideal candidate combines strong technical GIS administration skills with an understanding of pipeline industry data, regulatory requirements, and enterprise system integration.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and maintain enterprise GIS environments, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, Portal, and related applicationsManage GIS servers, services, web maps, applications, user permissions, and security configurationsMaintain and optimize spatial databases including SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL enterprise geodatabasesSupport pipeline compliance and integrity management workflows related to:Class location analysisHCA/MCA studiesRisk modelingInline inspection data integrationAsset management and regulatory reportingMonitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements for reliability and scalabilityEstablish and maintain GIS standards, metadata, QA/QC procedures, and documentationSupport mobile and web GIS applications for internal and client-facing projectsProvide technical support and mentorship to GIS staff and project teamsCollaborate with program managers and technical leads to develop GIS solutions aligned with client and regulatory requirementsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Geospatial Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field5+ years of professional GIS experience, including enterprise GIS administrationStrong experience with:Esri ArcGIS EnterprisePortal for ArcGISArcGIS ProEnterprise geodatabasesSQL Server and/or PostgreSQLExperience publishing and managing GIS web services and applicationsUnderstanding of coordinate systems, spatial analysis, and GIS data management best practicesExperience troubleshooting GIS infrastructure and application issuesStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting or operations environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience in oil & gas, pipeline integrity, utilities, or energy industriesFamiliarity with:PHMSA regulationsPipeline integrity management programsPODS or UPDM data modelLinear referencing systems (LRS)Cloud environments such as Azure or AWSPython scripting and automationExperience with versioned editing and multi-user enterprise workflowsExperience supporting field mobility solutions and dashboardsWork Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly work within an office environment and is required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk and listen. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.This position is based in the Houston area; and will work a hybrid schedule of 3 days in our Cypresswood office.The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.Employment is contingent upon a successful background check and drug screen.
