About the RoleJCW is partnering with a growing specialty insurance firm to find a driven Audit Manager ready to build something from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to create and lead an internal audit function from scratch within a firm that's scaling fast.If you're an experienced audit professional with deep roots in P&C insurance and a passion for building, not just maintaining, this role is for you.Key responsibilitiesDesign, build, and lead the firm's internal audit department from the ground up.Develop a risk-based audit framework tailored to specialty insurance operations.Execute audits across underwriting, claims, operations, and compliance functions.Evaluate and strengthen internal controls across the business.Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership.Serve as a trusted business partner, adding value beyond assurance.Ideal candidate profile10+ years of internal audit or public accounting experience.Background in P&C insurance "” this is essential.Knowledge of statutory reporting requirements and regulatory frameworks.Front office exposure within an insurance or financial services environment is a plus.Proven ability to build programs, not just execute them.Strong communicator with a collaborative, leadership mindset.CPA, CIA, or other relevant certifications preferred.Tom Meberg works with Audit Professionals for leading companies across the country.
