Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Lab & Execution Engineer to support ADAS subsystem stability in an automotive development environment. This role is responsible for lab bring-up, HIL maintenance, test execution, troubleshooting, and ensuring bench stability aligned with production-level software releases.The ideal candidate has strong experience in automotive test environments, hardware troubleshooting, vehicle networking, and automation support.Responsibilities:Lab Bring-up & CommissioningSet up, wire, and configure automotive test benches (HIL/SIL) from scratchIntegrate ECUs and manage power distribution and groundingPerform bench validation prior to execution activitiesSupport new hardware integration and lab expansionsHIL Maintenance & TroubleshootingMaintain and troubleshoot ADAS HIL environments (dSPACE SCALEXIO/AutoBox or NI PXI)Configure and validate I/O channelsSupport real-time debugging and signal validationIdentify root cause of hardware vs software failuresVehicle Networking & DiagnosticsMonitor and debug CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet networksUse Vector CANoe/CANalyzer to monitor bus health and analyze trafficSupport ECU flashing, reprogramming, and diagnostics activitiesTest Execution & Failure TriageExecute automated test suites in lab environmentsPerform initial root cause analysis of test failuresDifferentiate between: Hardware connectivity issues Firmware/software mismatches Automation script defects-Document findings and escalate appropriatelyLab Automation & EfficiencyDevelop and maintain Python utility scriptsSupport and enhance existing automation frameworksImprove lab efficiency through scripting and process optimizationEnvironment & Configuration ManagementManage firmware/software versions across multiple test benchesEnsure parity between lab configuration and production vehicle softwarePrevent configuration drift and maintain documentationInstrumentation & Electrical TroubleshootingUse digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and programmable power suppliesDiagnose power, grounding, and signal integrity issuesSupport low-level electrical debugging on ECUs and test hardwareMandatory Skills Description:3+ years of experience managing automotive lab and testing environmentsADAS subsystem test experienceMinimum 3 years of experience in software/hardware testing with focus on execution and hardware troubleshootingHands-on experience with HIL platforms (dSPACE or NI preferred)Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Ethernet)Proficiency in Python scriptingExperience working with automotive ECUs and embedded systemsNice-to-Have Skills Description:Strong analytical and structured troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently in a lab environmentClear technical communication and documentationProactive and ownership-driven mindset
