This is a critical time for the semiconductor industry, and we are looking for an experienced EHS Manager to lead safety, compliance, and environmental programs at our Fremont site.You will own permits, face regulators, and drive a zero-incident culture. This is not an oversight role - you will personally submit permits, lead incident investigations, and influence site leadership.What you will doPersonally prepare and submit permits (Title V, RCRA, NPDES, CUPA, HMBP, etc.)Interface directly with EPA, OSHA, DTSC, and local fire departmentsLead incident investigations - root cause analysis, CAPA, JSA/JHAManage hazardous materials - HAZWOPER, spill response, waste programsBuild safety culture - train teams, lead committees, influence leadershipWhat you bring (non-negotiable)RequirementDetailsExperience5+ years EHS in semiconductor, chemical, or industrial manufacturingRegulatoryEPA, OSHA, DOT, NFPA - direct hands-on knowledgePermittingPersonal ownership of submissions (not oversight)Incident investigationRoot cause analysis, CAPA, JSA/JHAWork authorizationU.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident - no visa sponsorshipPreferred (panel to decide)CSP or CIH certification (active? lapsed? panel decides)Semiconductor industry depth - specific hazard ownership (HF, NF3, pyrophorics, toxic gas)Compensation & benefitsBase salary: $ 142,000 BOEBonus: 10% annual short-term incentive (STI)+MBOFull medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, parental leaveAbout UCTUltra Clean Technology (UCT) is a global leader in semiconductor fabrication support.
