In addition, this position oversees the company's uniform selection and distribution process.Duties:Provide exceptional customer service to all employees and guests. Maintain a professional work environment with management and staff.Provide leadership and oversight to enable successful daily operations of the department, to include delegating and assigning work.Responsible for leading and managing a team, to include hiring, on-boarding, training, setting performance expectations, conducting evaluations, coaching, and managing employee performance/conduct concerns as needed.Responsible for motivating and mentoring staff, promoting collaboration and teamwork, with the goal of fostering a team-first culture that best enables the success of both the individual and team.Responsible for staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage based on business needs, managing time-off requests, and timely review/approval of payroll to ensure accurate pay of each team member.Provide coaching and counseling to management and employees; facilitate resolution of employee/supervisor conflict.Advise management on the interpretation of employment policies and practices, ensure consistent application of policies, and recommend policy changes as appropriate.Lead employee relations investigations, including employment law violation complaints.Lead and administer the company's recruiting process by ensuring timely applicant flow, ensuring sufficient quality applicants are presented to the hiring managers. Assist departmental selection process through pre-screening of candidates and other interviewing/assessments as requested by the department. Provide training for hiring managers on interviewing skills, and ensure appropriate interviewing/selection documentation is completed.Administer the company's benefit programs, to include all health-related (medical, dental, vision, and other supplemental plans) and financial (401k) programs. Recommend changes to the plans as appropriateKeep current on all relevant legislation to ensure the company's policies, practices, and benefits maintain compliance with all applicable laws.Oversee the company's uniform distribution process.Coordinate and administer the company's performance management process.Responsible for maintenance of all employee data, including HRIS, personnel files, and other employment-related documents.Ensure the company maintains compliance with all relevant employee documentation laws and best practices.Create and administer the company's training programs, to include new hire orientation, HR-related compliance training (to include alcohol and responsible gaming training), and management training.Oversee the unemployment claim process.Measure, analyze, and report all appropriate HR-related metrics, including attrition/retention, unemployment, and workers compensation/safety.Oversee FMLA/other leave processes and approvals to ensure legal and consistent application and documentation.Oversee ADA request process and work with department director on reasonable accommodations.Oversee the disciplinary process and decisions, ensuring consistent application of the company's progressive disciplinary process.Facilitate a positive organizational culture through oversight of employee recognition and appreciation events.Lead the Winning Hands Employee Volunteer program.Participate in the Manager on Duty (MOD) program as assigned.Perform other duties as assigned.Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field required.Require a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in a human resources generalist or related role, including a minimum of three years' experience in the HR leadership role of a company or site which includes direct supervision of HR staff.Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation preferred.Require thorough knowledge and application of all employment and benefits law.Prefer a minimum of two years of prior experience in benefits administration, to include health, financial, and workers compensation.Must be able to build and maintain effective relationships within all levels of employees in the company.Must demonstrate ability to effectively coach behavior change in all levels of employees.Must demonstrate effectiveness in both oral and written communication skills.Must demonstrate effective problem solving and decision-making ability.Must demonstrate effective leadership ability, as evidenced by organization and planning skills, team building skills, and influencing/getting results through others.Certificates & Licenses:SHRM -CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR PreferredMust be able to obtain a Level III Nebraska Gaming LicenseSalary: DOE
