Seasonal Educator - Offsite Presentations (K-8)Location: Carlsbad, CADuration: March 12 - May 2 (subject to minor changes)Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM (4-5 days per week)We are seeking two enthusiastic and engaging seasonal educators to deliver offsite presentations to large groups of Kindergarten through 8th-grade students. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy interactive teaching, public speaking, handling bugs of all kinds, and hands-on learning experiences.ResponsibilitiesPresent multiple "Murder Mystery: Good Bugs/Bad Bugs in the Garden" programs daily.Handle and display various bugs (e.g., snails, beetle larvae, caterpillars, isopods) confidently throughout presentations.Care for demonstration bugs over the 8-week period (low-maintenance bugs + some can be collected on-site before the first class each day).Maintain student interest and encourage participation in a large group setting.QualificationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong public speaking ability.Reliable and punctual.Prior teaching or presentation experience preferred.Comfortable handling insects, snails and other invertebrates.If you have a passion for education, public speaking, enjoy theatrics, and love bugs of all kinds - we'd love to hear from you!To apply, please submit your resume and a brief cover letter detailing your experience and interest in the position.
