Distribution Operations Manager

Our partner, an industrial distribution and manufacturing company located in the Philadelphia area, is immediately seeking a Distribution Operations Manager for their facility. Distribution Operations Manager Responsibilities: Lead, monitor and provide guidance to facility staff to enhance performance, manage operating costs and boost productivityOversee the reception, storage, quality control and reconciliation of all inventories within the facilityManage paperwork processing and ensure timely transmission of data to relevant internal partiesNotify the Fleet Supervisor of any truck or vehicle maintenance issues and assist in coordinating local repair effortsEstablish and enforce policies and procedures while tracking facility performance metrics, including incident logs, service failures and adherence to Standard Operating ProceduresManage fee applications, lead times, quality control measures and other operational aspectsMaintain the cleanliness, upkeep and functionality of the facility and its equipmentAssist customers, carriers and contractors as needed within the facilityOffer consultation and recommendations regarding the performance of personnel and equipment within the facilitySupervise and implement Security, Health, Safety and Regulatory compliance protocols at the facilityLiaise with Human Resources regarding performance matters, disciplinary actions, staffing requirements and associate hiring or terminationOrganize monthly meetings and training sessions for drivers and warehouse staff, as well as additional training sessions as necessaryDistribution Operations Manager Requirements:Bachelor's degree preferredProven experience (5+ years) in a distribution, warehouse, transportation, or logistics supervisory roleStrong leadership capabilities requiredValid driver's license, CDL preferredExcellent organizational, problem solving, and strategic thinking skillsSelf-starter with exceptional communication skills, someone willing to own and build out the day-to-day processes If this position interests you, please apply today!
