Solstice Advanced Materials -- General Counsel, TradeWe have an incredible opportunity for you to join Solstice Advanced Materials' Compliance Organization as the General Counsel for Trade. Reporting directly to the Chief Compliance Officer, you will be trusted partner to the business and key adviser responsible for leading Solstice's global trade compliance team. This is an exciting time to join Solstice as it spins from Honeywell into an independent company, and this leading role and its team will be critical to Solstice's successful launch and sustainable growth. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective trade compliance program focused on import, export, and sanctions regulations of the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, and the countries in which Solstice does business. As a people leader, you will play a critical role in developing and supporting Solstice employees to help them perform their best, ensure a compliant flow of goods and technology across borders, and drive innovation and development across the company. You will establish strong relations with appropriate, regulatory agencies and establish operational processes for assuring trade compliance. Finally, you will partner closely with the legal department in investigation and resolving compliance matters and inquiries.This role can be based in Morris Plains, NJ or Washington DC.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the global trade compliance team responsible for implementing and maintaining effective trade compliance with applicable import, export, and sanctions lawsDevelop and implement trade compliance controls, policies, and procedures to support risk management and the compliant flow of goods and technology across bordersManage and oversee trade procedures, including classifications (HTS and ECCN), country of origin determinations, and customs valuationStay updated on trade laws, regulations, designations, and other related regulatory announcements, assess and calibrate program response, and communicate business impacts Provide strategic business guidance and support to internal stakeholders on trade compliance matters, including transactional reviews, training, and awareness programsEngage with regulatory authorities, support obtaining authorizations, and managing authorizations across all trade disciplines (import and customs, export (ITAR, EAR, NRC), and sanctions, as appropriate)Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify areas of risk, improvement and implement corrective actionsSupport investigations into trade compliance issues, including engagements with outside counsel as appropriate; andExercise strong leadership, collaboration, and execution skills with project teams, outside vendors and consultants.Compensation & BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position is $269,000 - $337,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.This position is incentive plan eligible.
