Job SummaryDang & Zapata Law Firm is looking to hire a personable, aggressive, experienced, and motivated attorney with Personal Injury experience (including pre-litigation through trial) for Associate Attorney position.The ideal applicant will be located in the McAllen, TX area or the Richardson, TX area (DFW) and will have a minimum of 2 years of practice experience in the areas of Personal Injury law and will handle all aspects of a case from the beginning to end.There is flexibility with the office schedule and an opportunity to work remotely per approval of the Managing Partner.Responsibilities:Provide excellent customer service to all clients;Drafting/ Filings Civil Complaints;Draft/Respond Discovery Request and thorough review of Discovery;Meet and Confer with counsel on discovery subpoenas, global settlements;Draft Motions and Prepare Trial documents (MIL's, Exhibit Binders, Joint Trial Documents);Taking/Defending Depositions;Appearance at Hearings;Develop legal strategy and maintain caseload of 70+ cases in pre-litigation/litigation with other supervisory and administrative duties;Review/Oversee Legal Secretary's work and resolve pending issues;Training, mentoring, and professional development of administrative staff;Responsible for case reporting, management, and outcome tracking; using Needles or relevant legal software;Conduct legal research on personal injury cases;Assist with case preparation and management;Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts;Organize and maintain case files and evidence;Coordinate with your team, courts, and other parties involved in the case;Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:1-5 years of Texas Personal Injury law practice experience (including trial) preferred.
