Job Title: Construction SuperintendentLocation: Bay Area, CACompensation: $140,000 - $180,000+ annually (DOE)Benefits: 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision for employee; 50% for dependents; 401(k) with match; company vehicle or allowance; PTO & holidaysAbout the CompanyI have been retained by a well-established, $250M general contractor with deep roots in the Bay Area, specializing in ground-up and renovation projects in the public and private sectors. Known for delivering complex projects in active environments, we maintain a strong backlog of K-12, higher education, and OSHPD-compliant healthcare builds.Position OverviewWe're actively seeking a seasoned Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations on educational or healthcare projects across the Bay Area. This role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and coordination.Key ResponsibilitiesLead on-site construction efforts, including managing subcontractors and field staffEnsure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards (including DSA and/or OSHPD)Drive project schedules and proactively identify and resolve issuesConduct daily site walks, coordinate inspections, and maintain detailed field reportsCollaborate with PMs, engineers, and clients to ensure seamless project executionLead weekly meetings with trades, consultants, and ownersMonitor and enforce site logistics, access controls, and safety proceduresMust-Have Qualifications4+ years of Superintendent experience on DSA (K-12 or higher ed) or OSHPD/healthcare projectsProven track record managing ground-up or major renovation projects $10M+Deep understanding of building codes, safety practices, and California construction standardsStrong communication and leadership skills, able to direct field personnel and build rapport with clientsProficiency in scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or equivalent)Preferred QualificationsExperience working for mid- to large-sized GCs with multiple concurrent projectsOSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certificationsFamiliarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management platformsWhy Join Us?Competitive pay with bonuses tied to performance100% paid health benefits and family-friendly benefits packageStable project backlog with top-tier clientsCulture that values teamwork, safety, and long-term growth
