Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerLocation: 37885, Vonore, Tennessee, United StatesCompany: Reliance One, Inc.Type: Full-Time, Direct HireSummary / PurposeReliance One is seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical support for the continuous improvement of plant operations and assist with the execution of new and modified manufacturing programs. This role plays a key part in ensuring production efficiency, quality improvements, and technical problem-solving.Essential Duties and AccountabilitiesAs a Manufacturing Engineer, design and execute trials aimed at reducing scrap, cycle time, Gentani, and short stops to support cost-reduction initiativesSupport Maintenance and Manufacturing teams during equipment breakdowns, startups, and set-ups to ensure minimal disruption to productionRecommend and assist in the development of effective setup and maintenance procedures as part of the Manufacturing Engineer's responsibilitiesInvestigate the "why make" side of non-conforming product flow-out issues and develop corrective actionsParticipate in new program manufacturing planning reviews, contributing technical insight as a Manufacturing EngineerPlan and execute process development trials to meet initial process capability targetsSupport ongoing manufacturing improvement initiatives and Kaizen events as a hands-on Manufacturing EngineerWork overtime during weekdays or weekends as directed to complete essential job dutiesPerform other responsibilities as assigned in alignment with departmental goals and engineering support functionsSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.Job Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAs a Manufacturing Engineer, proficiency in CNC controls, tooling geometry, machine tool processes, and fixture design is highly desirableFamiliarity with automated, semi-automated, and manual automotive assembly systems, including cell designStrong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical circuits and control systemsExcellent organizational skills; capable of managing multiple tasks and working under pressureWorking knowledge of quality, health, safety, and environmental management systemsPLC and robot programming experience is a plusEducation and ExperienceBachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in metal removal and/or close tolerance assembly manufacturingNote: The above requirements may be modified by the Department Manager and Human Resources Manager if the candidate is otherwise qualified.Equal Opportunity Statement:Reliance One, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation, and training.
