Sr Human Resources Generalist Job Description:General Responsibilities:The Senior Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting the organization's human capital initiatives by leading and executing core HR functions including employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, compliance, and organizational development. This position partners with leadership to drive a positive workplace culture, ensure legal compliance, and promote HR best practices that align with the company's mission and values.Key Responsibilities• Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, coaching, and policy interpretation.• Lead investigations into workplace concerns and recommend appropriate action in accordance with company policies and legal guidelines.• Support full-cycle recruitment including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding to attract and retain top talent.• Administer and support performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and development plans.• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices.• Monitor and maintain employee records, HRIS data integrity, and documentation required for audits or regulatory compliance.• Assist in the development and communication of HR policies, procedures, and programs.• Support organizational change and growth initiatives including succession planning, engagement programs, and workforce development.• Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and develop data-driven solutions.• Mentor junior HR staff and serve as a lead resource for complex HR matters.Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; HR certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred.• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a generalist or advisory role.• In-depth knowledge of employment laws (FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO, etc.).• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.• Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Paylocity a plus.Working Conditions:• Hybrid office environment with periodic travel to branch locations as needed.• May require occasional extended hours to meet deadlines or support critical employee matters.About L&S Mechanical:L&S Mechanical began as a Dallas-based contractor in 1985 and has grown over the years to have five locations out of Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio, and Austin.
