TRADEMARK AND BRAND PROTECTION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEYBOUTIQUE FIRM SIDEMAN & BANCROFTJOB DESCRIPTIONThe ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience with management of large global consumer product trademark portfolios and non-litigation enforcement activities. Candidate should be very familiar with domestic and foreign trademark counseling and strategy, clearance and prosecution, including drafting goods and services descriptions, preparation of substantive responses to U.S. trademark actions and providing instructions to foreign associates concerning foreign trademark actions; preparing and responding to cease and desist letters and other online and traditional enforcement and anti-counterfeiting matters; counseling clients with regard to privacy matters, counseling with regard to social media, online marketing and traditional advertising and promotions; preparing pleadings and responding to discovery requests in federal court trademark litigation cases, IP licensing experience, and/or exposure to IP issues in corporate transactions a plus. Candidate should be comfortable working directly with clients under senior partner supervision and ready to offer impeccable client service and prompt responsiveness.Candidate will have the opportunity to work with a number of beauty and personal care brands on design and development of trademark protection strategies and exciting product launches. Candidate will also be involved with managing large trademark enforcement projects for a variety of companies including well known technology and personal electronics companies. Candidate must have a strong academic background, excellent writing skills and strong abilities in fact finding, legal analysis, creative problem-solving and time management. Must be extremely team-oriented, flexible, highly organized, customer-service oriented, able to work with limited supervision and perform multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
