Sets up visual management systems to help monitor performance and improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesWork closely with plant personnel on department performance indicators (DPI) data capture and reportingUnderstand DPI's to deliver improved performance and lesson variation.Maintain and improve Visual Management system and tools for plant personnel to monitor performanceWork with plant PLC programmers to improve process performance and data captureAssist team members in the delivery of focused action items to continuously improve plant performanceDrive a team-focused continuous improvement mindset throughout the organizationAssist in the delivery of design of experiments (DOE) and analyze associated trials conducted on processes to determine ways to reduce variation and costProvide assistance in implementing process changes (new equipment, new processes and projects) while maintaining performance expectationsLearn and use SPC tools as the organization has the capacity to accept themLearn and use root cause analysis tools to permanently eliminate lossesFacilitate cross functional teams to develop and implement solutionsManage new product development or product improvementModel company core valuesRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentExcellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skillsStrong teaching, coaching, and facilitation skillsAbility to communicate effectively and build trust in relationships at all levels of the companyAbility to work in a highly functional team environmentProficiency in Word and Excel, particularly proficient in spreadsheet development and useBasic understanding of statistical analysis and proper sampling techniquesGood problem solving and investigation skills with a focus on root cause analysis and development of sustainable corrective actionsAbility to conduct activities in a safe and professional mannerDemonstrated understanding of business goals and the importance of how the job supports these goalsAbility to analyze and present data and interpret in to actionable informationWilling to work multiple shifts as needed to support the effective training and leadership of our operational teamsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in business, statistics, math, engineering or related field; or minimum three years of experience in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of lean management principlesAN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER INCLUDING DISABILITY AND VETERANS
