A well-established defense electronics research and development company, located in Carson, CA, that supports government and defense industry clients is seeking a skilled Contracts Administrator to join their team. This role is ideal for a self-starting professional with a foundation in contract review, negotiation, and proposal development"”particularly who thrive in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. Key Responsibilities:Serve as the main point of contact for customersReceive, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts including NDAs, PIAs, purchase orders, and government agreementsManage customer RFPs and RFQs, ensuring proposals meet client needs while protecting business interestsSupport Engineering by preparing proposals, setting up customer meetings, and reviewing technical documents to support contract negotiations.Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Quality Departments to assess purchase order terms and conditions.Prepare summaries of risk terms and provide guidance during contract negotiationsCollaborate with internal teams and external clients to ensure alignment with contractual obligationsMaintain organized and up-to-date contract files and documentationTrack amendments, escalations, and ongoing compliance requirementsTrack customer metrics and manage customer portalsContribute to continuous improvement efforts in contracts administration processesQualifications:Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience in a related field)At least 3 years of experience with government, defense, and commercial contracts in a product manufacturing settingAerospace industry experience strongly preferredWorking knowledge of FARS, DFARS, ITAR/EAR, and other U.S. government contracting regulationsStrong negotiation, analysis, and communication skillsStrong proposal writing and technical writing skills are essential.Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Ability to handle multiple projects with minimal supervision and shifting prioritiesJob Type: Full-timePay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year, flexibility depending on experienceBenefits:401(k)95% paid Dental insurance95% paid Health insurancePaid time offVision insuranceLife insuranceSchedule:Ten Hour DaysMonday through Thursday
