Lead Scheduler (P6)

Our esteemed global oil and gas client is actively seeking a highly skilled Lead P6 Scheduler to join their dynamic Project Controls Team at the Convent, LA job site.The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in commissioning and decommissioning, capital projects, turnarounds, outages, and daily maintenance scheduling. A strong background in maintenance, turnarounds, or small capital projects is essential for success in this role. This is a 24 month contract assignment paying up to $100 per hour.As a Lead Scheduler, you will be tasked with developing and maintaining an integrated, resource-loaded schedule that drives project success. You will establish a comprehensive Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) with clearly defined milestone deliverables, expertly apply the Critical Path Method (CPM) to monitor progress and ensure timely delivery, prepare insightful histograms, and craft compelling reports for the management team.Requirements:A Bachelor's degree in construction management or a closely related field.A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Primavera P6 scheduling software.At least 8 years of experience in the industrial maintenance sector, involving construction projects, as well as small and large capital projects, outages, or turnaround projects.Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in:Computer-based Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).Mastering naming conventions, WBS, formats, and activity codes.Engineer Work Package (EWP) processes.Procurement Work Package (PWP) procedures.Installation Work Package (IWP) methodologies.Join us in this pivotal role and contribute to shaping the future of our projects while working in an inspiring environment that values your expertise and dedication.
