Assistant General Manager - New Restaurant OpeningFull-Time | On-Site | Lower East, NYCOur client, an exciting new restaurant concept launching in the East Village, is seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join their leadership team. The AGM will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations, supporting staff development, and upholding operational excellence from pre-opening through day-to-day execution.Position SummaryThe Assistant General Manager is responsible for supporting the General Manager in all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff supervision, guest experience, financial performance, and maintaining brand standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is service-driven, operationally sound, and highly collaborative. This individual will be key to cultivating a high-performance team culture and ensuring a consistently excellent dining experience.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily service and shift execution to ensure a high level of guest satisfactionLead, train, and support front-of-house team members to maintain service and hospitality standardsPartner with the General Manager on hiring, scheduling, and performance managementActively participate in floor management, including guest interactions, table visits, and conflict resolutionCollaborate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless coordination during serviceMonitor inventory, ordering, and cost controls to achieve financial goalsAssist with administrative duties including payroll, reporting, and complianceMaintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards in accordance with health regulationsSupport marketing initiatives, local community outreach, and guest retention effortsHelp drive a positive workplace culture with high morale and low turnoverQualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience in a restaurant management role, preferably in a full-service or upscale dining environmentProven success in team leadership, service operations, and guest satisfactionExperience with restaurant openings is highly preferredStrong knowledge of food and beverage operations, cost control, and schedulingExcellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skillsAbility to remain calm under pressure and handle high-volume service with composureFlexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidaysProficiency with POS systems and back-office software (scheduling, inventory, reporting)What Our Client OffersOpportunity to grow with a new, thoughtfully curated hospitality conceptA supportive and passionate leadership teamCompetitive compensation and potential for long-term advancementA creative and collaborative environment focused on quality and careIf you're passionate about hospitality, excited to be part of a new opening, and ready to lead a team in delivering exceptional experiences "” we'd love to hear from you.
