We're seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager or Director to lead the people strategy for a dynamic, rapidly growing freight forwarding and logistics company with 260+ employees across 5 locations and 7 states.As our HR Director, you'll shape the employee experience, drive performance culture, and implement best-in-class HR practices across the company and in relation to multiple affiliated platform entities. This is a hands-on, strategic role ideal for a strong HR leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and understands the complexities of industrial, warehousing, or transportation sectors and willing to take initiative, collaborate with senior leadership and adjacent departments to plan, prepare, and maintain new HR initiatives as well as problem solve HR matters that arise on a day to day basis.What You'll Do:· Lead HR across the full employee lifecycle "” from recruitment and onboarding to compliance, retention, engagement, and offboarding.· Maintain and ensure adherence to workplace policies and procedures.· Manage multi-state compliance, employment law, and people analytics.· Develop and implement compensation strategy, benefits programs, and performance management systems.· Oversee a growing HR team and act as a strategic advisor to leadership.· Spearhead HR initiatives and projects focus on the improvement of the HR function and employee experience.· Develop, implement and maintain a consistent HR records keeping system.What You Bring:· 7+ years of HR experience (2+ at the head of HR level), preferably in logistics, transportation, or warehousing.· Deep knowledge of employment law across multiple states, including California.· A track record of building inclusive teams and enhancing employee engagement.· Experience scaling HR in complex, multi-entity environments.· Strong leadership, communication, and data-informed decision-making skills.· SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred.· Ability to travel to other work locations from time to timeHow Success Will Be Measured:· Positive employee engagement survey results· Successful implementation of HR/people initiatives and projects· Improved time to fill/hire, improved retention, reduced turnover, grievance resolution time, HR-led training completion rates, employee net promoter scores, and other metrics· Compliance across multiple states and entities· Leadership and stakeholder satisfaction with HR partnership and communicationIf you're a people-first HR leader ready to make an impact in a high-growth company, we'd love to meet you.
