You'll manage a small team, serve as a backup for payroll, and shape our people strategy to align with company goals.Key Responsibilities:Lead and develop the HR team (Payroll Specialist & Talent Specialist)Oversee benefits, compensation, and payroll (including serving as backup)Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance coachingEnsure compliance with employment laws and maintain HR policiesDrive HR analytics, strategic workforce planning, and change managementManage HR technology systems and vendorsSupport workplace safety and risk management programsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field7+ years in HR, including 3+ in leadershipDeep knowledge of HR laws & complianceStrong skills in benefits, comp, and employee relationsExcellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinkingHRIS and payroll system experienceMust be able to work onsite in Baton Rouge at least 2-3 days/weekWhy BBP?Best Place to Work in Baton Rouge - 3 years runningCompetitive pay + benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k match, PTO)Room to grow, lead, and make a lasting impact
