We are seeking an experienced Import Manager to oversee our production order shipping by coordinating with various teams and utilizing your expertise. This position will be responsible for ensuring that orders are shipped and delivered on time.The ideal candidate for this position is analytical, well-organized, and possess excellent communication skills with solving issues in a fast-paced environment and finding solutions that will get things done. Candidate must have strong skills in excel and they should be comfortable overseeing 3000+ sku's in open production.Candidate will be able to demonstrate excellence, possess the ability to learn quickly and strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities: 1Import Logistics Management: - Develop and implement strategies for efficient import logistics and transportation.Oversee the end-to-end import process, including shipment scheduling, customs clearance, and delivery coordination.Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics partners to ensure smooth operations.Compliance and Documentation: - Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations, customs laws, and import/export documentation requirements.Prepare and review import documentation.Stay updated on changes in trade regulations.Team Leadership and Development: - Work with import logistics professionals.Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.Cost Management and Optimization: - Monitor and control import-related expenses, including transportation, duties, and tariffs.Analyze cost data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.Run Monthly Cost reconciliation and oversee Cost ActualizationsSupplier and Vendor Coordination: - Involved with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.Resolve issues related to shipments, including delays.Reporting and Analysis: - Prepare and present regular reports on import logistics performance as needed.Utilize data analytics to identify needs to support decision-making.Problem Resolution: - Address and resolve issues related to import logistics, including customs disputes plus shipment delays.Develop contingency plans to manage unexpected disruptions in the import process.Qualifications:7+ years of experience as an Import ManagerSolid knowledge of logistics proceduresComputer savvy with excellent knowledge of MS Office and advanced skills in excelOversees lead times performance, tracking and updating of systems to ensure most reliable carriers are used/assigned lanes as well as proper lead times established/managed within our systems/toolsManage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with effective communication and thorough follow through
