If this sounds like an organization you would like to be a part of, we would love to meet you.The Contract Specialist II will ensure Neighborhood Healthcare (Neighborhood) is entering into legally binding contracts that are safe, compliant, and in the best interest of the organization and its mission. This role will review, negotiate, and finalize contracts involving goods and services, payer agreements, real estate and lease agreements, consulting agreements, PACE agreements, and Business Associate Agreements. Must be located in Southern California ResponsibilitiesWorks with stakeholders to ascertain the scope and context of the contract and conducts additional research, as necessaryDrafts, edits, reviews, and negotiate agreements of varying complexity with minimal supervision, managing business and legal risk while effectively supporting our internal stakeholders in a timely mannerHas the ability to provide sound and well-reasoned legal and contract guidance to internal stakeholders based upon established policies, guidelines, and professional judgmentEnsures that contracts adhere to Neighborhood Healthcare's negotiation guidance, other applicable policies and procedures, and additional guidance from Director, Contracting, as applicableFacilitate communication with the counterparty on assigned contract requests and leads negotiations and meetings during the negotiation phase or when issue resolution is requiredMonitors and tracks the status of contract-related matters and proactively provides updates to stakeholdersContributes to the maintenance and accuracy of data within SharePoint, Coupa, and other systems or database, as requiredHandles contract renewal and termination tasks, including, but not limited to: timely notifications to the appropriate Neighborhood Healthcare personnel of upcoming contract expiration/renewal dates, preparation and mailing of termination letters and other contract notices, updating the contract record to reflect renewals/expirations/terminationsAdheres to and enforces contracting-related policies and proceduresLeads and/or participates in contracts team projects and tasks, as assignedWorks with Contracts Team leadership to establish best practices and procedures for contracts to improve operational efficiencyQuality Management:Contributes to the success of the organization by participating in quality improvement activitiesCustomer Relations: Responds promptly and with caring actions to patients and employeesMaintains professional working relationships with all levels of staff, clients, and suppliersWorks with outside vendors to maximize quality of vendor and Neighborhood relationships to ensure industry respectImpacts patient experience by demonstrating courteous and helpful behavior and a commitment to accuracyQualificationsEducation/ExperienceBachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceThree years' contracting experience required; five years' experience preferredAdditional Qualifications(Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior composition, typing, and proofreading skillsExhibit strong negotiation skills, including comfort in independently negotiating contract terms with counterpartiesAbility to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formAbility to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organizationKnowledgeable about and experience with Coupa and Asana systemsAbility to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously with different levels of urgency and tracking deadlinesExcellent planning and organizational abilityAbility to work as part of a team as well as independentlyAbility to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical mannerPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift/carry 10 lbs/weightAbility to stand for long periods of timePay range: $38.55 - $55.52 per hour, depending on experience.Compensation Disclosure: The posted salary range reflects the designated pay grade for this position. While this range represents the broader classification of the role, actual compensation will be based on several factors, including but not limited to: the candidate's overall knowledge, skills, and experience, market data and industry benchmarks, internal equity within the organization, budgetary considerations, and organizational needs. As a result, placement within the range is not guaranteed, and the full pay grade range may not be utilized.
