This maintenance mechanic will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is operating safely and efficiently by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following diagrams, reading operations manuals and troubleshooting malfunctions.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliabilityTroubleshoot and diagnose issues with automation systems, electrical components, mechanical equipment, and hydraulic systemsRepair or replace defective parts, components, or systems, utilizing knowledge of automation, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic principlesInstall, configure, and calibrate automation systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, actuators, and other control devicesConduct inspections and tests on machinery and equipment to identify potential problems and implement corrective actions proactivelyCollaborate with production personnel and other maintenance team members to address maintenance issues promptly and efficientlyAdhere to safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout, arc flash safety, and other relevant safety measures, to ensure a safe working environmentDocument maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other record-keeping toolsStay updated with advancements in automation technology, electrical systems, mechanical engineering, and hydraulic systems through ongoing training and professional developmentParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and performanceJob RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in industrial maintenance, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field preferredCompletion of apprenticeship program or equivalent training in maintenance millwrightingStrong technical skills in automation systems, electrical systems, mechanical components, and hydraulic systemsProficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with machinery and equipmentKnowledge of safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout, arc flash safety, and other relevant safety measuresAbility to lift up to 40 lbs.What CRH Offers YouHighly competitive base payComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsAn inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotionAbout CRHCRH has a long and proud heritage.
