Looking for an energetic, hands-on leader who is equally passionate about training & development, guest experience, and dialed in with numbers. Candidates should also have strong knowledge of wine and spirits in order to drive beverage sales. Someone who truly understands and can embody the ethos of the Lawry's family of restaurants, while leading the team by example with an elegant floor presence and inviting, guest-facing personality. Experience in or familiarity with the Orange County market is highly preferred! This is a very special opportunity to lead a legacy restaurant and join an esteemed, independent hospitality group that places a very high value on employee retention. There is a clear path for this role to grow with the company within the first 1-2 years! General Manager Responsibilities:Oversee and positively impact all areas of the business including: sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitationDevelop/improve upon and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to increase consistency, efficiency, and quality of guest experienceMaintain a strong presence in the restaurant on a regular basisEnsure quality and consistency of all products servedEnsure all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working conditionMaintain positive and cooperative relationships with all vendors and business partnersWork to standardize any manuals or forms that can better help streamline operations within the restaurantFoster opportunities for the team to learn and growContinually strive to educate and develop of staff as it relates to food, beverage, and serviceCreating a positive and fun working environmentDeveloping a positive relationship with guestsTaking ownership of the business to increase sales and profitabilityIncreasing brand awareness by creating marketing plansSet an example to the team by providing excellent hospitality and service at all timesAnticipate the needs of the restaurant and act upon themStay up to date on industry trends, competition, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for innovation and improvementBe knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and deliver prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and proceduresFully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirementsGeneral Manager Qualifications:4-5+ years' experience as a Restaurant General Manager (GM), Multi-Unit General Manager, Food & Beverage (F&B) Director, FOH General Manager, Director of Outlets, Director of Restaurants, Service Director, or FOH Department Manager in a full-service, upscale, high-volume restaurant concept is requiredPrior experience in or familiarity with the Orange County market is highly preferredProven experience driving operational growth and successOwnership mindset and values and ability to take on a lot of responsibilities at onceProven track record in leading/motivating a team and holding staff accountable to high standardsAbility to multi-task and switch directions accordinglyStrong knowledge of wine and spiritsExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsHighly organized with impeccable attention to detailResourceful and effective problem-solving skillsAbility to thrive in a high-pressure environmentDevelop relationships with guests to create & maintain guest retentionCollaborative, hands-on, team player mentalityProcess driven and able to implement operating procedures that will continue to maximize efficiencyExceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safetyStrong with numbers and experience in managing P&LFlexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidaysFood Safety CertificationAble to stand/walk for long periods of timeCompensation Package Includes:Base Salary in the $110-120k range DOEBonus PotentialMedical/Dental/Vision BenefitsLife Insurance401k with Company MatchPTO PlanExcellent Growth OpportunityPlease do not reach out to Five Crowns directly.
