Job SummaryWe are seeking a temporary full-time worker to support production operations. The position will begin with a full-time training period (Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, 40 hours/week) lasting approximately one month. Following training, the role will transition to a part-time, flexible schedule, averaging around 20 hours per week, depending on workload. Based on site needs, a hybrid schedule may be available after the part-time phase. This is a 3-4-month assignment, expected to end in August, with the potential to convert to a full-time position. Interview Type: OnsiteJob PurposeCreate/modify CNC programming for various machines to support existing and new products for the site. Provide technical support and equipment troubleshooting for several product types within the departments as assigned. Products may range from standard items manufactured continuously to one-piece, one-time-only orders. Incumbent will interface with Operations and Quality Assurance daily. Work with Marketing and consult with customers and vendors as required by product responsibilities.Principal AccountabilitiesResponsible for the creation of CNC programming for various pieces of equipment. Specific site machines are as follows:Cincom L12 Swiss machine with CAV120LS bar feederDMG MORI SEIKI Dura Vertical 1035MORI SEIKI SL-303PROTO-TRAX TRL 2460SXMORI SEIKI DURA TURN 2550SODICK EDM ALN 600GMASAK VIC-200BProvide technical support for ongoing manufacturing operations within the area of responsibility.Train hourly workforce as necessary to properly operate equipment and produce products in selected areas.Develop material and processing parameters to achieve desired end-product properties and attributes based upon end customer specifications.Develop and trial new processes to enable the manufacturing of products.Provide part drawings and tool design to support Manufacturing & Process Engineering.Ensure drawing changes are documented and timely.Reviews incoming specifications and drawings for new products, working closely with operations, engineering, and sales to ensure specifications can be met.Assist in troubleshooting CNC equipment as needed.Qualifications/ Knowledge/ Experience (Technical/ Professional Knowledge & Skills Competency)BS degree in Metallurgical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering or related field.3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience using MasterCam for CNC programmingStrong knowledge of CNC programming and machine operationKnowledge of welding and fabrication, and metal forming processesExperience with Lean Manufacturing, Problem Solving, and Continuous Improvement5 -7 years of experiencePersonal Skills & Key Competencies (Including Behavioural Competencies)Ability to communicate passionately and effectively about the process and impact the culture in a positive wayAbility to lead an effective team at various organization levelsAbility to build collaborative relationships to achieve goalsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEssential Ability to construct and carry out diverse plans and priorities within specific timetablesAbility to facilitate change
