Very prominent Dallas based Defense Litigation Law Firm is seeking a Defense Litigation Attorney for the Austin area, for an immediate need.This position will be 100% remote but the candidate must live in the Austin area for to be able to be present for court, depositions, etc.Highlights:Salary - $140,000 - $160,000 + Bonus/Profit sharing100% remote - MUST LIVE IN AUSTIN AREA5+ years of experienceLicensed to practice and in good standing in the State of TexasWe are seeking an experienced Defense Litigation Attorney with at least 5 years of litigation experience in business litigation, insurance defense or medical malpractice. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex litigation matters while collaborating with a dynamic and experienced legal team.Key Responsibilities:• Handle all aspects of insurance defense litigation, business litigation or medical malpractice, including case strategy, motion practice, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.• Provide legal counsel to insurers, businesses, and professionals in personal injury, professional liability, and construction-related claims.• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs, related to personal injury, professional liability, and construction disputes.• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and courtroom proceedings while effectively managing a caseload.Requirements:• Juris Doctor (JD) and active membership in the Texas bar• Minimum 5 years of litigation experience in business litigation, insurance defense or medical malpractice• Some litigation knowledge, legal research, and drafting skills.• Excellent communication, negotiation, and case management abilities.• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
