Buyer Supervisor

Are you an experienced Buyer Supervisor looking to grow your career with a leading manufacturing organization? Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and action-driven Buyer Supervisor to support purchasing and procurement operations. This role ensures the timely delivery of high-quality materials and services to manufacturing and engineering teams, while streamlining vendor relationships and supporting lean material flow initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Research and prepare specifications for various production parts, materials, and supplies.Source, evaluate, and select vendors based on pricing, quality, and delivery performance.Make purchasing decisions within authorized limits and recommend vendor changes as needed.Collaborate across departments to consolidate vendor agreements and optimize schedules.Analyze material usage and production cycles to support purchasing consolidation efforts.Communicate manufacturing projections and receiving patterns to suppliers for planning.Develop strong understanding of vendor cycles and lead times to ensure timely deliveries.Coordinate with engineering and sales to manage changes, including Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).Expedite urgent materials while balancing cost, quality, and lead time.Evaluate and improve purchasing agreements to support manufacturing and just-in-time practices.Contribute to ongoing improvements in inventory management, material flow, and procurement processes.Qualifications & Requirements:Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering with at least 3 years of purchasing experience,OR Associate's degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience.Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) designation is required.Technical purchasing background in a manufacturing environment.Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, including Just-in-Time (JIT), KanBan, Total Quality Management (TQM), and Single Piece Flow.Preferred Qualifications:Background in manufacturing, sales, or customer service.Strong understanding of marketing, finance, and business economics.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).Self-starter with strong organizational and follow-up skills.Positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work independently.Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder.$98k PA + Benefits4 day working week (40 hours per week)Apply Today!If you're an experienced Buyer Supervisor ready to take ownership of supply chain and vendor relationships in a dynamic manufacturing setting, we want to hear from you!Qualified candidates will be contacted within 24 hours!
