The Reston, Virginia office of an international law firm has an immediate need for an Office Assistant to support the Records & Information Governance Department. Qualified applicants must have prior law firm file clerk experience and strong technical and attention to detail skills. Prior experience with retention/destruction experience is a plus! (Both physical and electronic files).Specific Job Tasks:Responsible for coordinating internal reviews and external transfers both within Virginia office and firm wide.Facilitate the transfer of 100+ client matters to outside counsel, in accordance will all advised procedure and compliance protocols..Assist in the digitization of over 2000 physical files into CRM and data management software, ensuring quality control on every single file.Coordinate the delivery of outgoing files with attorney reviewers in a timely manner, confirming the retention of all firm sensitivematerials.Organize and archive physical documents to downsize the storage taken up by boxes, utilizing third-party vendors.This is an excellent opportunity for to join a top-notch law firm and learn the ins and outs of the quickly growing information governance field.
