Duration12 Months (Temp to Perm)ClientOne of the largest Aerospace and Defense companiesOverviewWe are looking for an Structural Mechanic who plans, lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs both internal and external aircraft structures and surfaces in accordance with technical manuals, engineering drawings, and FAA regulations.DutiesDisassembles existing aircraft structure for modification install, which could involvemodifying removed parts or installing new parts from a kit per engineering drawings. Interprettechnical manuals and engineering drawings for the proper tools, fasteners, location andmethods of installation to meet required specification.Lays out, locates, fits, trims, assembles, and installs parts assemblies and skins where dimensions are critical and fitting is to exacting tolerance.Drill, countersink and rivet exterior skin panels where skin quality is critical. Works from all types of complex blueprints, E.O.'s and production illustrations.Completes any or all structural rework/repair, squawks, and E.O.'s. .Must be able to utilize computer based systems to perform duties.May be required to work in confined space.Fabricate detail parts from blueprint or engineering instructions.Perform aircraft inventory, acceptance, and inspections.Document detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed.QualificationsFive (5) years of documented experience in aircraft structural installation, modification, troubleshooting and repair.Rotary wing and/or Fixed wing structural modification experience preferred.Experience removing and apply aircraft paint preferred.Bell 206 Experience is preferred.
