A Snapshot of Your DayBusiness Excellence Professional (BEP) will collaborate with the Head of Site Functions. The Site BEP is responsible for continuous improvement efforts for Painted Post. Successful candidate will take a direct hands-on role in implementing measurement systems analysis, process capability improvements, and root cause/corrective action. Must be able to effectively apply and influence cross-organizational resources to achieve both individual and team goals. The role involves training both hourly and salaried employees in Lean standard methodologies. The ability to function in a complex environment, influence and communicate effectively is essential to success.How You'll Make An ImpactImprove cycle time by elimination of waste in the manufacturing areas and provide leadership and facilitate continuous and break-through innovations and process improvements.Support the enterprise wide Operational Excellence program by coordinating Continuous Improvement Projects at each plant site to ensure that standard methodologies are applied throughout the operations.Identify, develop, and manage projects that will drive Manufacturing Excellence within the operations and assist in the creation and/or improvement of Operational Excellence culture.Coach and mentor Process Innovation and manufacturing engineers in the application of the appropriate process innovation tools to ensure teams/projects are successful in meeting project goals while advising site management and provide strategic direction on Operational Excellence project selection, integration, resource alignment and prioritization.Develop and maintain a pipeline of improvement projects and act as a liaison to the site leadership team, ensuring standard methodologies are implemented across the operations.Provide strategic direction on improvement project selection, integration, resource alignment and prioritization and deployment of Process Innovation resources based on site needs and identify internal training needs and implement appropriate training.Project management design and implementation for PI Projects and Kaizen Events.What You BringBS Degree with 5 years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment and 2 years proven "Lean" experience eliminating waste in the work environment, with a focus on improving cycle time.Skilled in guiding diverse teams and mentoring others effectively in team collaboration.Successfully builds relationships and networks in a union manufacturing environment.Excellent written and oral communication.Being able to stand on the manufacturing floor for 8 hours per day and essential qualities to possess: perseverance, productive, highly organized.Passion for continuous improvement (process innovation) with a propensity to pursue goals with energy and persistence. Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Oracle, PowerPoint.Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
