Benefits begin after 60 days of employment, we have three employer sponsored medical plan offerings including an HSA, dental, vision, flexible spending, company paid life insurance, paid long-term and short-term disability, PTO, paid holidays, and 401k program with employer match.We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Human Resources Generalist with a strong emphasis on payroll and benefits administration, preferably with hands-on experience using Paycom. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll, managing employee benefits programs, and providing day-to-day HR support. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of payroll compliance, benefits regulations, and HR best practices, along with proven expertise in utilizing Paycom to streamline HR processes. In addition to payroll and benefits, this role will support broader HR initiatives, including onboarding, compliance, and policy implementation. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional employee service. This position will support our operations across 4 locations in Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, and Missouri.Pay for this position is $49,000-55,000 annuallyESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSResponsible for timely, accurately and compliantly processing bi-weekly payroll.Ensures compliance and maintains current knowledge of applicable federal and state policies.Develops an in-depth understanding of Payroll Software and HRIS.Prepare monthly, quarterly, ad-hoc and year-end reports.Handles all child support, garnishments, levies and bankruptcy orders. Monitors all requests to ensure deductions are in accordance with the order as well as federal/state laws.Providing information and answering employee questions about payroll-related matters.Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping confidential information.Complete employment verifications.Manage and assist employee onboarding, ensuring new hires have the tools, resources, and information needed to integrate smoothly into the organization.Understand the Company employee benefits programs and policies to be able to assist employees in enrollment.Support department and employees during open enrollment.Administers and reconciles vendor invoices for employee benefits. Remits funds to appropriate vendors as required. Performs system audits of these deductions. Responds to inquiries from vendors and auditors.POSITION QUALIFICATIONSExcellent customer service skills.Superior attention to detail.Flexibility with work responsibilities.Very strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.Communication, Written - Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.Able to handle multiple tasks.Confidentiality is essential in this position.Advanced training and education in payroll processing.EducationBachelor's Degree (four year college or university) preferred, but can substitute experience.ExperienceThree years of payroll experience.Working knowledge of benefits administration.SKILLS & ABILITIESComputer SkillsHighly experienced Microsoft Office user. Paycom Payroll knowledge a plus.
