Job Title: Buyer Position OverviewAs a Buyer at Irwin, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing procurement activities through a combination of strategic sourcing, supplier development, and team leadership. A Buyer must possess advanced skills in supplier management, data integrity, problem-solving, and process improvement, while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational efficiency.Responsibilities Master Data Integrity: Maintain and ensure the accuracy of master data related to suppliers, materials, and inventory.Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis: Identify and address supply chain issues through thorough root cause analysis and effective problem-solving techniques.Supplier Development (Existing): Collaborate with existing suppliers to enhance their performance, quality, and on-time delivery.Engineering Changes/Developments: Manage the procurement process for engineering changes, running inventory obsolescence, and ramp-up activities.Developing Supplier Cadence & Visitation Schedule: Establish and maintain a regular cadence for supplier communication and visits to strengthen supplier relationships.Team Leadership: Be willing and able to lead a small cross-functional team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.Cross-Functional Communication: Proactively identify and address negative cross-functional impacts and communicate solutions effectively.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or related field recommended.Proven experience in supply chain management and supplier development.Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Advanced proficiency in data analysis and reporting, comfortable with Excel or other analytical toolsAbility to adapt and realign resources to meet changing demands.Embraces new processes and acts as a change agent for improvement.Actively listens to others and values diverse perspectives.Demonstrates the importance of connecting with team members for effective teamwork.Adapts personal style to lead and collaborate effectively within a team.Proactive in identifying and addressing negative cross-functional impacts.Humble and respectful learner who values others' ideas and opinions.Accepts feedback for personal development and focuses on functional perspectives.Sees challenges as opportunities for growth and improvement.Actively pursues professional development and continuous learning.Contributes effectively within cross-functional teams.Supports customers in finding optimal solutions.Understands personal impact on the big picture and cross-functional teams, striving for continuous improvement.Efficiently gathers facts from teams and communicates learning.FLSA Status: Exempt Compensation: The salary range for this full-time position is $62,000 - $85,000 per year. Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including but not limited to: relevant work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and complexity of the role.
