2nd Shift PositionStrategy and DevelopmentOverall responsibility for all MP&L activities across the businessCreate and implement best practice MP&L vision, strategy, policies, and procedures to aid and improve operational performanceReview opportunities to improve operational and financial performance to ensure minimal operational disruption and maximum customerEvaluate the challenges faced by the organization and take action to risks and develop opportunitiesContribute to overall business strategy and annual budget processTake ownership of MP&L policies, procedures, guidelines and any documentsGeneral and Task ManagementOversee and manage inventory integrity and review ways to reduce levelsEnsure regular stock checks take placeEnsure IT systems in place are effective, accurate and maintained and opportunities to standardize and streamline utilizing current or newInterpret and analyze complex data and trends and develop and strategies based on analysisEnsure that plans, schedules and performance metrics are available and report progress to othersPeople ManagementProvide leadership to departments under control and manage, coach anddirect reports and manage high-performing teams that deliver improvement added value and cost reductionsSet department objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performanceEnsure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate of information and in order to implement change andEnsure that all functions under supervision operate in accordance with safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure theof staff and visitorsResponsible for developing the appropriate organizational structure, plans and culture to support the business objectives anddeliverablesProvide leadership, coordination and coaching to the team, ensuring theytrained enabling them to achieve the operational and financial metricstheir areas of responsibility and succeed in their rolesComplete regular performance reviews, manage attendance, vacations, issues and procedures as appropriateEstablish strategy and best practices for staff to ensure achievement ofbusiness objectives. Work with the senior management team to strategy into specific annual performance goals and departmental including KPIs, and to track themFinancial Budget and ControlInput and hold responsibility for MP&L budgetsOversee and optimize costs in relation to packaging and shippingPrepare the annual MP&L budget and forecasts and all CapitalExpenditure proposals as well as ensuring compliance with customers and requirements.Relationship ManagementDevelop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external and work collaboratively to ensure MP&L objectives are metCommunicate any concerns and recommend solutions without quality or service and aim for cost optimizationContribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and the impact on MP&L activitiesEnsure performance of suppliers, logistics partners, transportation etc and make improvements and cost savings where possibleEnsure on time, high quality delivery to all customersWork collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to delivery and compliance with the materials planning and logisticsMaintain excellent relationships with customers and monitor performance progress of deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction while optimizingEnsure compliance with import/export regulations/customs regulations dangerous goods shipment and aviation security, and legal and safety requirements
