I&E Designer III - Ponca City, ILContract Position | Oil & Gas Industry LeaderOur client, a prominent company in the Oil & Gas sector, is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Electrical/Instrumentation Designer for a contract position at their Ponca City Refinery. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong background in CAD design and leadership within refinery projects.Location: Ponca City RefinerySchedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts (Overtime possible)Clearance: TWIC card preferred (must be able to obtain prior to start date)Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate a team of designers and drafters to ensure efficient and accurate project completion.Develop and modify electrical and instrumentation (E&I) drawings for Refinery Technical Services (RTS) projects.Work independently with minimal supervision while managing project deliverables and deadlines.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, contractors, and mechanical craftsmen.Requirements15+ years of experience with CAD software (AutoCAD and/or MicroStation).Solid understanding of electrical or instrumentation design.Basic knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).Proven ability to lead project design teams effectively.Strong desire to learn and take initiative.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a diverse team environment.Preferred QualificationsAssociate degree in Design, Drafting, or Engineering Technology.Experience with SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI)TWIC card in hand or willingness to obtain one before starting.
