Civil Construction Estimator

Job Title: Civil Construction EstimatorLocation: Montrose, PAJob Type: Full-timeJob Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Civil Construction Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for reviewing project documents, performing quantity take-offs from prints, and compiling relevant data to support senior management in preparing competitive proposals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of civil construction practices, cost estimation, and bid preparation.Key Responsibilities:Review project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand scope and requirements.Perform accurate quantity take-offs from architectural and engineering blueprints.Analyze material, labor, and equipment costs to generate detailed cost estimates.Research and compile pricing for subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.Identify potential risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering options.Assist in preparing comprehensive bid proposals for senior management review.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to refine estimates.Maintain and update estimating databases, ensuring accuracy in cost analysis.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in civil construction estimation.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).Proven experience in civil construction estimating or a similar role.Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents.Familiarity with construction estimation software (such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, ProEst, or similar).Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.Compensation & Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience.Health, dental, and vision insurance.Retirement plan options.Paid time off and professional development opportunities.
