Maintenance TechnicianSummary of Roles and Responsibilities:Kaemark is an industry leader in commercial millwork manufacturing located in Giddings Texas that has been in business for over 50 years. We currently have an opportunity available for a highly motivated Maintenance Technician at our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diversified duties such as troubleshooting, repairing, and installing on state-of-the-art woodworking equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and conduct facility repairs. They must be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and department leaders to address concerns and issues that affect safety, quality, and production efficiency. This job is ideal for someone who is a self-starter, quick on their feet, and can easily adapt to an ever-changing environment.What you get in return is an amazing work culture that promotes a healthy work life balance, company led fun activities and an outstanding benefits package.Responsibilities:Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic problems.Create or develop comprehensive PM program on critical equipment. Perform installation, maintenance and repair activities on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic manufacturing equipmentDismantles and reassembles machines and carries out routine maintenance activitiesPerform regular preventive maintenance and routine inspections on machines, equipment and plant facilities. Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.Assigned tasks list to include, but not limited to repairs and preventive maintenance on state-of-the-art woodworking equipment, CNC machines, packaging equipment, electrical, plumbing, dust collection systems, hand tools, and pneumatic tools.Perform administrative functions including inventory management, logging completion of work in maintenance tracking system, and minor project management as assigned.Requirements:At least 5 years of working experience with CNC machines, electrical schematics, control circuits, and proven knowledge of woodworking equipment and tooling. Familiarity with Biesse CNC routers, Biesse edgebanders, doweling inserters, case clamps, and other woodworking equipment highly desirable, but not required.Maintain, update, create and implement Preventive maintenance SOPs and checklist as requiredAbility to read and interpret equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, and work orders to perform required maintenance and serviceMust be able to operate and have knowledge of forklifts, scissors lifts, electric meters, power tools, mechanical/pneumatics tools, while performing assigned tasks.Must possess a valid driver's license to drive company vehicles as needed to run errands, pick up materials or supplies.Possess a high school degree or GED. Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent, preferred, but not requiredBasic skill level in computer software including Microsoft Excel, Google SheetsMust have the flexibility to work different shifts-based on demand required by the job.Excellent follow-through, judgement, and common sense, with a "Make it happen" attitudeMust have a high sese of urgency to address unplanned maintenance issues. Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is highly active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
