Position Summary/ObjectiveThe Parts Advisor and Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for the ordering, storing, receiving, and distributing supplies, inventory accuracy, slotting, and process concerns in accordance with organizational policies and applicable government laws or regulations at Total Truck & Machine. Essential Functions & Responsibilities· Ensure accurate accounting of inventory physically and systematically· Physically count materials, equipment, merchandise, and supplies in stock· Run NetSuite reports to ensure regular and predictable inventory maintenance and slot locations· Identify discrepancies between physical counts and computer records and make appropriate adjustments· Maintain the parts room in a clean and organized manner· Tracking KPI's related to inventory control · Maintain metrics, KPI reports, process documentation, and logs· Identify root cause and solution for returns and claims · Work closely with the billing department to ensure all parts are billed in a timely manner· Talk with customers and process over the counter sales· Backup to the front desk receptionist. May need to process payments via credit card machine.· Maintain the process of inventory fulfillment to show room floor· Analyze vendors for warehouse supplies and inventory to ensure the company is receiving the most cost- effective pricing· Safely operate equipmentCompetencies, Skills, and Abilities· Strong organizational skills· Ability to work independently and be self-motivated to complete daily tasks with minimal supervision· Mathematical and analytical skills· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills· MS Office proficiency with intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge· Computer software experience· The ability to manage multiple projects at one time in an efficient and timely manner · Working knowledge of inventory control process and procedures· A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines· Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors, and team membersEducation & ExperienceEssential Education:· High School diploma or GED Preferred Education:· Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeshipEssential Experience:· Minimum of 2 years' experience in an environment with diesel trucks, heavy machinery parts, and fabrication with a history of efficiency, safety, and execution· Minimum of 2 years' experience with service parts, vendor management, and inventory management· We are willing to train the right person
