SummaryPerforms duties in some or all of the following areas: employee relations, training, employment, benefits and compensation management, onboarding, performance management.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Administer compensation and benefit plansAssist in talent acquisition and recruitment processesConduct and assist in all employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiativesEducate managers on FMLA, ADA, and other options for their employeesProvide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may ariseCompile/verify reports for EEO, ACA, and other annual reporting requirementsPromote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplaceAssist in development and implementation of human resource policiesMaintain, update, and review all HR documents to ensure complianceUndertake tasks around performance managementOrganize annual employee performance review processMaintain electronic employee files and recordsGather and analyze data with useful HR metricsBenefits billing and reconciliationUnemployment claims; employment verifications; letter requestsPayroll updatesData entry of new hires, rehires, and transfers in a timely fashionComplete all new hire reporting - I-9 and state compliancePrepare various reports as requestedMaintain a strong knowledge of PLCA union agreementsEnhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activitiesEnsure compliance with labor regulationsSupervisory ResponsibilityThis person will have one direct report.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk and hear, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, office equipment or controls and reach with hands and arms.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. Evening and other weekend work may be required as job duties demand.TravelMinimal travel, if any, is required for this role.Required Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a closely related fieldSHRM and/or HRCI certifications are preferred but not necessary2+ years proven Human Resources experienceUnderstanding of general human resources policies and proceduresGood knowledge of employment/labor lawsExcellent communication and people skillsPreferred: Construction industry experience in an HR roleAdditional Eligibility RequirementsStrong understanding of Microsoft programs, Software systemsExcellent time management skillsCommunication skills (verbal and written)Ability to problem solveSelf-starter and self-motivatedDesire to work as a team with a results driven approachOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
